Dr. Stroot updated the BLOS Model to include new information regarding inflammation. BLOS induces acetylation, which triggers inflammation via the inflammasome. Chronic inflammation may be due to long-term, elevated BLOS. In addition to Type 2 Diabetes and rapid aging, inflammatory diseases (yellow box) include Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Dr. Stroot updated the BLOS Model to include new information regarding changes in DNA Methylation that alters Gene Expression, Inhibition of Ankyrin B causing weight gain, and the Inhibition of Glucose transport from the blood to adjacent tissue. A new manuscript is being prepared that will provide more details.
