Diabetes is a big problem in Western Countries in 2021. In the USA, there are 30 million diabetics. There are multiple theories on the cause, but Blood Oxidative Stress (BLOS) is the only theory that could explain the bulk of it. BLOS is widespread with more than 2/3 of adult Americans (160+ million) thought to suffer from it. The rise of the Western Diet and the increase of diabetes rates follow similar trends. It is thought that the inorganic sulfur content of the processed foods may be the true dietary cause of BLOS. If true, then managing BLOS will require a concerted, large-scale effort to generate useful dietary information based on BLOS measurement. BLOS may be the Black Swan event for health care due to the enormous impact on health and cost. Could Blood Oxidative Stress cause Diabetes and other health problems?
How Does Blood Oxidative Stress Cause Diabetes?
BLOS is blood cells that generate high amounts of reactive oxygen species (ROS). These ROS are the primary molecule responsible for Oxidative Stress. Oxidative Stress could be the cause of Type 2 Diabetes, since the ROS inhibits glucose transport and pancreas production of insulin. Control of BLOS reduces ROS production, which reduces the inhibition of both glucose transport and insulin production. Watch my video to learn more about how Oxidative Stress may cause Type 2 Diabetes.
Evaluate Your BMI and Estimated BLOS Range
Weight and by extension, BMI, are risk factors for serious health problems like Cardiovascular Disease and Type 2 Diabetes. However, long-term Blood Oxidative Stress or BLOS may be the primary cause of these health problems and more. Maintaining a healthy BMI may not be enough. Even normal weight individuals may also have Oxidative Stress. Like Cardiovascular Disease, BLOS is asymptomatic and may take years before suffering severe health events. Why wait for that to happen when you can evaluate your own BLOS right now.
Before purchasing the Urine Oxidative Stress Test kit, use my new calculator that combines BMI and Blood Oxidative Stress Evaluation. This Calculator provides your estimated range of Blood Oxidative Stress. With this information, you can decide whether you should purchase one of the Urine Oxidative Stress Test kits.

BMI Meaning
According to the CDC, your BMI value corresponds to different weight ranges. If your BMI value is less than 18.5, then you are Underweight. If your BMI value lies between 18.5 and 24.9, then you are Normal Weight. BMI values between 24.9 and 29.9 correspond to Overweight, while any BMI value over 29.9 is Obese. More than 2/3 of adult Americans are either Overweight or Obese.
BLOS Range Meaning
The BLOS Range is a function of your Diabetic State. Normal Diabetic State is defined by healthy blood glucose levels and corresponds to a BLOS Range of 0-20%. With respect to BLOS, a measured BLOS# value of less than 5% is considered Healthy. So, you may still be suffering from elevated BLOS, if you have a Normal Diabetic State. PreDiabetes afflicts a large number of adult Americans and corresponds to a BLOS Range of 15-40%. Type 2 Diabetics have a much greater BLOS Range of 30-65%. If you’re making Lifestyle changes including diet and fitness, then you want to measure your Urine Oxidative Stress level. This is the only way to ensure that your Lifestyle Choices reduce Blood Oxidative Stress.
