Diabetes Prevention Programs continue to grow in popularity in the United States. These Programs feature weekly meetings with trained lifestyle coaches that help participants evaluate and change lifestyle choices with an emphasis on weight loss. Avoiding the progression from Prediabetes to Type 2 Diabetes reduces health care costs, which is about $17,000 per year! An estimated 84 Million Americans have Prediabetes and 9 out of 10 do not know it! Structured lifestyle changes reduce the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes by half, but why don’t they work all the time? Can we improve a Diabetes Prevention Program?
Weight is Only a Risk Factor
The overall goal of Diabetes Prevention Programs is to help participants lose weight by making healthier dietary choices. However, weight is only a risk factor and not the underlying cause of Type 2 Diabetes. Is there a better way to evaluate participants? Maybe the key is Oxidative Stress.
Blood Oxidative Stress (BLOS) May Be the Key to Diabetes
Long-term, elevated Blood Oxidative Stress or BLOS is a much better candidate for the underlying cause of Type 2 Diabetes and other health problems. BLOS is the high percentage of blood cells that generate reactive oxygen species (ROS). This ROS diffuses from the blood stream into adjacent tissue and reacts with biomolecules. ROS inhibits glucose transport, which leads to high blood sugar. ROS also damages DNA and the accumulation of DNA damage causes Cancer. Long-term BLOS may also play a role in atherosclerosis. In summary, you should pay attention to BLOS as a primary source of Oxidative Stress and investigate ways to reduce it.
ROS from BLOS also inhibits hormone production in glands, such as the pancreas, the source of insulin. An estimated 2/3 of adult Americans suffer from BLOS. Management of BLOS may be the key to preventing the progression of Prediabetes to Type 2 Diabetes. It may be possible to reverse this dangerous disease by reducing BLOS to normal levels, which is thought to be below 5%. In order to evaluate BLOS, a diagnostic test should measure BLOS or the end products or reactions involving ROS and biomolecules in the blood. Because the bathroom scale will not provide information on Oxidative Stress, we identified a product that is available to you right now!

Enroll in a Diabetes Prevention Program Now
First, you need to find a CDC Certified Diabetes Prevention Program and enroll in it. Next, you need to purchase by eBook and the MDA Urine Test kit and evaluate your progress in your Diabetes Prevention Program. Evaluate your dietary choices using your own Urine Oxidative Stress measurement. Keep careful records of your progress. You may experiment with small or large changes in your diet to minimize your BLOS. Use periodic blood tests to validate your low Urine Oxidative Stress measurements. These blood tests will reveal whether your lower Oxidative Stress improves your blood markers for diabetes. If you have success with both lowering your BLOS and improving your diabetes biomarkers, then be sure to share your results with your trainer and us! If you think this approach may be of interest to your local Diabetes Prevent Program manager, then share our special offer below.
CALL TO ACTION TO IMPROVE DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAMS
Glixin wants to partner with a Diabetes Prevention Program to evaluate the use of the MDA Urine Test kit. We will purchase these kits for a Diabetes Prevention Program, because we need a partner to evaluate the use of the kit to reduce Oxidative Stress.
If you manage a Diabetes Prevention Program and find this topic interesting, then send me an email or message below about partnering. We will purchase these kits for a Diabetes Prevention Program for this evaluation for a small number of participants. For example, the MDA Urine Test kit with 25 test strips could evaluate the progress of 5 participants. This kit provides enough test strips for each participant to be tested biweekly over 2 months.
