Partnership Opportunity for Faculty Member or CRO

Partnership Opportunity for Faculty or CRO

Are you a passionate faculty member with a keen interest in translational research? Or perhaps a forward-thinking Contract Research Organization (CRO) looking to break new ground? We’re seeking a collaborative partner to develop a compelling proposal for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) STTR or SBIR program (Phase 1)!

Glixin, a company dedicated to Managing Oxidative Stress for Better Health, is excited to partner with a talented individual or organization to bring a groundbreaking research project to life.

Here’s what we’re looking for

  • Faculty Member: If you have a research interest in Oxidative Stress and expertise in conducting clinical trials, specifically those focused on Type 2 Diabetes, we understand the importance of access to laboratory equipment. While the BLOS# test itself is easy to perform, access to a bench-scale fluorometer is required. Do you have this equipment readily available in your lab?
  • CRO: Established CROs with a proven track record in patient recruitment, clinical trial execution, and data collection, particularly in metabolic disorders or related fields, are also encouraged to apply. Does your facility have a laboratory equipped with a bench-scale fluorometer for BLOS# analysis?

The Project

Our proposed study focuses on the potential of Blood Oxidative Stress (BLOS#) as a biomarker in Diabetes Management. This Phase 1 project will address the following specific aims:

  1. Establish Preliminary BLOS# Reference Ranges: We aim to establish initial reference ranges for BLOS# levels in a healthy, Prediabetes, and Type 2 Diabetes populations.
  2. Investigate BLOS# for Monitoring Disease Progression: The study will explore the utility of BLOS# in monitoring disease progression in patients with Prediabetes and Type 2 Diabetes.
  3. Evaluate BLOS# Responsiveness to Dietary Intervention: We will assess how BLOS# responds to dietary interventions designed to improve Type 2 Diabetes.

Glixin’s Role

We’re here to support your research every step of the way! We’ll provide a dedicated team including:

  • Registered Dietitian: To assist with patient dietary consultations and develop personalized nutritional interventions tailored to the study.
  • Biostatistician: To ensure robust data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Additional Support: We’ll offer further resources as needed, including project management and regulatory expertise.

Benefits of Partnering with Glixin

  • NIH NIDDK Grant Funding: Gain access to significant funding opportunities through this prestigious program from the NIH NIDDK, specifically focused on your area of interest.
  • Accelerate Research Progress: Collaborate with a team dedicated to making your research a success.
  • Expand Your Network: Forge new connections and build a strong research portfolio.

Ready to Join Forces?

If you’re a visionary faculty member or a results-oriented CRO with a passion for innovation in the field of Diabetes Management, and have access to a laboratory equipped with a bench-scale fluorometer, we encourage you to reach out! Please send a brief statement outlining your interest in this project to pete@glixin.com.

Together, let’s turn groundbreaking research into reality!
