{"id":5097,"date":"2023-06-25T12:24:27","date_gmt":"2023-06-25T19:24:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/glixin.com\/wordpress\/?p=5097"},"modified":"2026-02-07T10:57:06","modified_gmt":"2026-02-07T18:57:06","slug":"current-status-of-new-blood-oxidative-stress-test","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/glixin.com\/wordpress\/oxidative-stress-blood-tests\/current-status-of-new-blood-oxidative-stress-test\/","title":{"rendered":"Current Status of New Blood Oxidative Stress Test"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This blog post will keep you up to date on the current status of Glixin&#8217;s new Blood Oxidative Stress (BLOS) Test.\u00a0 Oxidative Stress is thought to cause multiple human health problems.\u00a0 The list includes Obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension, and a greater risk for Cancer.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/glixin.com\/wordpress\/oxidative-stress-general-information\/blos-primary-source-oxidative-stress\/\"> Blood Oxidative Stress or BLOS is thought to be the main source of Oxidative Stress in humans<\/a>.\u00a0 If we have any hope in managing BLOS, then we need a way to measure its level.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Wellness BLOS Test Development Progress To Date<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The new Wellness BLOS test is currently in development by <a href=\"https:\/\/glixin.com\/wordpress\"><strong>Glixin<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 The BLOS test measures the causative agent of Oxidative Stress, the abundance of the ROS+ blood cells.\u00a0 My faculty collaborator has generated a linear standard curve for the concentration of hydrogen peroxide (H<sub>2<\/sub>O<sub>2<\/sub>) using a commercial ROS measurement kit and bench-top fluorimeter.\u00a0 Next, he prepared two blood samples from the same clinically healthy human volunteer.\u00a0 The first sample is the unknown sample.\u00a0 The second sample included NaHS, which induces the ROS response in blood cells.\u00a0 He used the same ROS measurement kit and fluorimeter to measure the H<sub>2<\/sub>O<sub>2<\/sub> concentration in the plasma of both samples.\u00a0 A marked difference was observed in the samples with a ratio of 12%, which corresponds to the BLOS level (percentage of blood cells actively generating ROS).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5102\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5102\" style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/glixin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Glixin-Pitch-Deck-2023-Progress-To-Date-Only.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5102\" src=\"https:\/\/glixin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Glixin-Pitch-Deck-2023-Progress-To-Date-Only.png\" alt=\"Glixin Pitch Deck 2023 Progress To Date Only\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/glixin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Glixin-Pitch-Deck-2023-Progress-To-Date-Only.png 960w, https:\/\/glixin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Glixin-Pitch-Deck-2023-Progress-To-Date-Only-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/glixin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Glixin-Pitch-Deck-2023-Progress-To-Date-Only-768x576.png 768w, https:\/\/glixin.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Glixin-Pitch-Deck-2023-Progress-To-Date-Only-600x450.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5102\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Glixin Blood Oxidative Stress Test &#8211;
